36th Golden Rose Festival to be Held in Varna, Bulgaria

On September 27, the 36th Golden Rose Festival of Bulgarian Feature Films will be opened. Film lovers will have the opportunity to watch over 40 films and the tickets are already on sale at the Festival Congress Center in Varna and online at www.fccvarna.bg.

The competition includes 17 full-length and 21 short films. For the awards in the feature-length cinema Victor Bozhinov's "Heights", Galin Stoev's “The infinite garden”, Maria Veselinova's family "Smart Christmas", Milko Lazarov's internationally awarded "Aga", Lyubomir's "A ship in a Room" Mladenov, and many more will compete.

Five premieres will take place at the "Golden Rose" Festival: "My sister’s silence ..." by Kiran Kolarov, the debut of Nadezhda Koseva "Irina", "This time is ours” by Petar Popzlatev and "Living chimneys" by Radoslav Spasov.

The contest also includes the hit "Attraction", "All she wrote," by Niki Iliev, two films by Maxim Genchev - the drama "Reviewing inner spaces" and "The runaway smartphone". International participation will be from Macedonia, Kosovo, Turkey, Romania, Montenegro, and Serbia.

Two international juries will evaluate the competition program in both categories. The opening ceremony will take place on September 27th at 7:00 pm with the Macedonian comedy "Secret Ingredient”, and the screenings will continue until October 4, when the winners will become clear.
