Prime Minister Boyko Borisov Held a Speech During the Nelson Mandela Peace Summit

Boyko Borisov said Bulgaria is proud that an EU mandate for a new partnership agreement with 79 African, Caribbean and Pacific countries was adopted during the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU. This is what the Prime minister said during the Nelson Mandela Peace Summit. The Peace Summit also celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

"The negotiations aim at a modern and dynamic partnership with these countries as an important tool to tackle the global challenges - from fighting poverty and inequality to promoting peace, security and sustainable growth for all, and today's challenges can only be overcome if States work together," Borisov commented.

Boyko Borisov is already present in the role of co-chair of the Summit "Global Call to Action on the World Drug Problem", organized by US President Donald Trump in New York. After that, the Bulgarian Prime Minister shook hands and exchanged a few words with Trump. Borisov commented that Bulgaria is among the best partners of the United States. In his words, Bulgaria is a record holder of detained synthetic drugs, heroin tones, and cannabis.
