Romanian Citizen to be Sued After Driving Drunk in Bulgaria

Romanian citizen will be sued after being captured by police to drive drunk on Ruse-Biyala road. This was announced in the newsletter of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior - Ruse.

On 19.09 at 11.45 AM, a police patrol noticed that a vehicle performs an overtaking in a prohibited area. After the maneuver, the police stopped the vehicle and found that the “Ford Transit” was with a Romanian registration number and owned by a company in Bucharest. It was driven by a 41-year-old Romanian.

During the alcohol check, the breathalyzer showed more than 1.2 ‰ of alcohol. Тhe driver has been charged with an offense. The law provides one to three years imprisonment and a fine of BGN 200 to 1000.
