Yablanitsa-Boaza Hemus Motorway Track to Cost BGN 35.256 Million

The government has given 35.256 million levs from the Ministry of Regional Development’s budget for the construction of a 93-kilometer track of Hemus motorway.

The road will be between the town of Yablanitsa and the village of Boaza. The funds will be used for the construction and the consulting activities according to the ministry press center.

The overall cost of the project will be 55 million levs. The contract for the track was signed with the “HVP Yablanitsa” Consortium in June 2017. At the start of August, Bulgaria’s PM Boyko Borisov promised that the track between Yablanitsa and Boaza will be completed by August 2019.

The motorway will have two movement lanes in each direction, two lanes for emergency stops, and a separating line of 2 meters. Five underpasses will be built, as well as two overpasses. An additional underpass will be made for the road from Brestnitsa to the Saeva Dupka cave.
