Protest of Journalists in Front of the Court of Justice in Sofia, Bulgaria

The case of the detained journalists from last week, which created a wave of comments on social networks, gathered journalists from all media in front of the Court of Justice in Sofia on Monday. Representatives of political parties and organizations also joined the protest, bTV announced.

The protest organizer Vlado Rumenov commented in an interview for the television that the event was the drop that overcame the indignation of Boyko Borisov's governance and added that freedom of speech is one of the founding rights of a democratic society that we are trying to be.

Despite their various interests, protesters expressed their support for journalists and defended the right to freedom of speech. The journalist Ivan Bakalov described what happened as a police arbitrary and added that there should be solidarity among journalists from all media.

Attempts for provocations were also made - youngsters from the other protest against the government, stopped the traffic, but the police intervened.
