Thousands March in a Pro-EU Walk in Macedonia

Thousands of Macedonians went to Skopje on Sunday to join the march organized by the “Together for European Macedonia” Coalition to support the idea of EU membership, Actualno reported.

In the Macedonian capital, more than 100 buses with citizens arrived. With posters "Get out FOR European Macedonia" and flags of the country and the EU, Macedonians marched to the headquarters of the EU delegation in the center of the capital, where Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi were expected to speak.

The march is also in favor of the referendum on 30 September for the Macedonia membership in the EU and NATO under the new name of the Republic of Northern Macedonia. VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski commented that the referendum is about changing the name, not the European values.
