Rosen Zhelyazkov is The New Nominee for Bulgarian Transport Minister

The Chairman of the Communications Regulation Commission Rosen Zhelyazkov is the new nominee for Transport minister. Volen Siderov announced this after the meeting of the Coalition Council at the Council of Ministers.

Following the tragedy near Svoge, which killed 17 people, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov demanded and received the resignations of three ministers. The names of the three new ministers were clear last week, but another shift was needed after the transport minister Alexander Manolev declined the post.

After nearly two hours of talks, Rossen Zhelyazkov was determined to be the new Minister of Transport. Rossen Zhelyazkov is a lawyer, graduated from the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. In the first cabinet of GERB, he became Chief Secretary of the Council of Ministers and held this post from 2009 until the resignation of Borisov in 2013. In the second cabinet of GERB Zhelyazkov became an advisor to Prime Minister Boyko Borisov on the issues of state administration and e-government.
