Bulgaria-Related "Clippings" Company Received an Investment of $15.4 Million

The "Clippings" design furniture and lighting platform, which is co-founded by Adel Zakut, received $ 15.4 million in funding. This is the second largest Series B of the Advance Venture Partners (AVP) funding that the company has attracted with an engineering office in Bulgaria. The total investment before it was nearly £4.2 million.

The entrepreneur with Bulgarian roots Adel Zakout and Tom Mallory founded the British platform in 2014. Their goal is to digitize the furniture catalogs, offer transparent pricing, discounts, and organized delivery of orders, reported Capital.

The opportunities they offer are related to creating profiles, describing the products offered and selling them in three categories - furniture, lighting, and home accessories. Currently, Clippings.com has aggregated data of more than 6.5 million products. The company now has nearly 60 employees in London, Sofia, and the Philippines.
