Nearly 70% of the Employers in Bulgaria are Looking for Staff

Nearly 70% of employers are or will be looking for staff to hire next year. This showed the results of a survey of the Bulgarian Employment Agency. 2,615 employers have already identified their short and medium-term staffing needs.

The interim results show that specialists are still needed for administrative, accounting and IT positions. There is also a demand for electricians, machine operators, computer operators, etc. There are available vacancies for sales consultants, chefs, waiters, as well as for builders, tailors, and others.

Among the specialists with higher education, the biggest staff shortages are among the engineers - electrical and construction ones, financial and administrative specialists, pedagogues and teachers, medical staff.

What qualities do employers look for in the candidates? Nearly 38% of respondents answer that they need employees who are adaptive to changes, teamworking, responsible, and 18% - that staff should have key competencies for native speakers. Computer skills account for 7%, while foreign languages to 3.5%.
