"Wave Resort" - Bulgarian-Turkish Complex for EUR 30 Million to be Built Near Aheloy, Bulgaria

An investment for millions on the beach, close to one of the most loved places in Bulgaria. The Wave Resort is located 500 meters from the Aheloy camping site and is expected to open at the beginning of the next summer season. The investor is the company „Aheloy Project”, where Ventsislav Tanchev and Emre Ünsev are partners, Capital reported.

Tanchev is the owner of the tour operator SunTours, a representative for Bulgaria of the German tour operator Alltours and other companies from Central Europe. Ünsev governs in Turkey the tour operator "Novum Tourism", also a partner of Alltours, as well as two hotels in the Antalya region.

With EUR 30 million total investment, this project is one of the largest on the Bulgarian sea coast after the crisis. The new complex will have an area of 41,000 square meters and will have 425 rooms and apartments. During the peak season, it is expected to welcome more than 1,000 tourists. At their disposal, there will be 14 outdoor and indoor swimming pools with a 4500 square meters water area, five restaurants, an amphitheater, a conference center with 400 seats, a children's club, a spa and a wellness center that will use healing mud from the nearby lake of Pomorie. Most tourists are expected to be from Germany, the UK, and Russia.

The complex is going to work on the "all-inclusive" model but its goal is to run for about 8 months during the year with opportunities for conference tourism and spa and wellness breaks.
