Campaign Against Extreme Selfies

BTV reported that the National Railway Infrastructure Company and the State Aid for Child Protection have launched a campaign in schools against the extreme fashion among the youths to take selfies on the roof of a train.

The company commented that there is a big risk of a voltaic arc stroke to hit the child if they come close to the cable itself and the structures that hold it under two meters of safe distance. The electrical energy there is 25,000 volts and is deadly.

The two institutions are stating that the risk for the life in the name of a single shot is not courage but a reckless danger, and they call for stricter control and distribution of the campaign.

For 2 years, a total of 6 children have been injured because of taking a selfie on a train.

The brochures will be distributed in schools. From the beginning of the school year, posters will be placed at all stations with the free phone for children at risk 116 111.
