45,000 Bulgarians Moved to Germany in 2017

The Federal Statistical Office in Wiesbaden, Germany, shows that 45,000 Bulgarians have moved to Germany in 2017.

The total number of Bulgarians in the country is 310,000. The majority of them are between the ages of 30 and 35 and 5.2% are born in Germany, with a total of about 114,000 people living in the provinces of North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria.

Statistics show that more and more foreigners are choosing Germany for the country in which they will settle - an increase of 4.4% compared to 2016. The total number of people with migration origin in the state is 19.3 million.

The statistical survey does not take into account refugees living in shelters and migration centers.

People of Turkish descent living in Germany are about 3 million. 2.1 million people are of Polish descent, 1.4 million are of Russian origin and 1.2 million are Kazakh. 900,000 are the inhabitants of Germany of Romanian origin.
