Polish Truck Driver Died in a Crash in Bulgaria

A Polish lorry driver died in a crash on the E-79 main road between Vidin and Montana. The tragic incident happened on Saturday at around 12.30 pm, the “24-hours” newspaper reported.

The 59-year-old driver was traveling in the direction of Montana and in the region of the village Smolyanovtsi, he lost control of the truck and ran out of the road, stopping in the field. Police and Emergency Assistance team were immediately sent to the site. The doctors, however, only confirmed the death of the driver. There is no braking distance when leaving the roadway, and no visible trace of violence on the carcass.

The body of the deceased was transported to the Montana University Hospital for an autopsy. Work on the case continues.
