Sofia University is Lacking Candidates

„Darik“ reported that in the oldest university in Bulgaria there are still vacancies even after the third session for applications of the candidate students campaign. Currently, there are 850 vacant places at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" for the next academic year.

In 2017, there were 633 vacancies, and the trend is apparently directed at a growing shortage of students. Most of the vacancies are in the "Religion in Europe" specialty - with 44 vacancies, followed by "History" with 43. 27 places in "Slavic philology", 16 in “French philology” are unfilled.

The vacancies in one of the most desirable specialties - "Law", are 9. Students can also apply in "Theology", "Bulgarian Philology" and "Social Activities", "Library-Information Sciences", "Teacher of Natural Sciences in the Basic Education", and “Geography”. The vacancies in all the above-mentioned specialties are subject to state procurement, besides which the Sofia University has announced an additional paid admission for "Sociology "," Public Administration", and" Pharmacy ".

Candidates who have taken part in the campaign but are not accepted the first three times, as well as candidate students who have not participated in the university campaign, have the right to apply.
