Air Albania's First Flight Planned for September 1, 2018

Air Albania will conduct its first flight at the start of September.

MIA.mk cites a video of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama announcing the first flight. Air Albania was founded in May 2018 with support from Turkey. The first flight will be carried out on an Airbus-A319 between Tirana and Istanbul. Rama claimed that, in the future, Air Albania will also fly to Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Flights to Western Europe were also promised.

PM Edi Rama was involved in the founding of the company. He personally thanked İlker Aycı, the chairman of Turkish Airlines for his assistance in the Air Albania project.
