Wild Pig Found Dead in Shabla, Bulgaria

A carcass of a wild pig was found on the territory of Shabla municipality, the press office of the district government reported. A sample of the dead animal was sent to a laboratory for testing, given the threat of African plague.

Laboratory results are expected by the end of the week.

The area where the dead animal is found is blocked by the police. The veterinarians warn people to watch their animals for suspicious behavior and symptoms. If they have any doubts regarding the condition of their pigs, they should call the municipality organs.

Meanwhile, the construction of the fence between Bulgaria and Romania continues.
