Sofia, Bulgaria -
The best Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov missed an excellent chance to win a prestigious victory over former №1 and Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic before the stop of the match.
After a successful match against Mischa Zverev, Grigor managed to arrange a court match with Djokovic and tried to defend his title from the Masters at Cincinnati.
Dimitrov and Djokovic did not finish their game after the rain stopped them at 6:2, 3:6, 1:2 in favor of Nole. In the first set, Grigor led with 6:2 after the game started again with a long delay, due to heavy rain.
The second set was just as encouraging as the first part, with a breakthrough in the third game for Grigor. After a few mistakes, however, the game went in favor of Djokovic.
Immediately after the end of the set, rain fell, and on renewal, Djokovic came in with a breakthrough in the third game. Just then the rain reappeared and the game was interrupted for the second time, this time it was final for this session. The meeting will be resumed at the earliest today (17 August) in the evening.
