49.1% of the Unemployed in Bulgaria are With Secondary Education

New statistics from the National Statistical Institute show that in the second quarter of 2018 the total number of employed persons 15+ years, is 3,157,000, with 1,678,000 men and 1,479,000 women.

2,002,000 people, or almost 2/3 of all employees, work in the service sector, 29.8% in the industry, 6.8% in agriculture, forest and fish industries.

The unemployment rate is 5.5% and decreases compared to the second quarter of 2017. The number of unemployed persons is 182.200, of which 60.3% are men and 39.7% are women. 13.6% of the unemployed have higher education, 49.1% are with a secondary one, and 37.3% are only with primary education.
