Attempt for a Guinness Record for the Largest Mountain Horo in the World

On Saturday, August 11, an attempt to set a Guinness record in the Seven Rila Lakes region will be made. It will be the largest mountain Horo (Bulgarian traditional dance) in the world.

In an interview for NovaTv, Plamen Mirjanov, organizer of the event, said that more than 300 people in folk costumes will gather in an attempt to make a record, hoping for the tourists to take part in the adventure. The only condition is for the people to have some element of the Bulgarian traditional costume on themselves.

The purpose of the event, besides setting a record, is to show the diversity, the colors of the Bulgarian clothing and the folklore as a whole.

Visitors will be able to observe the largest sign, made by the dancers, as well as the challenge - walking a rope between two balloons.

The event will also be attended by James Schwartz, a US operator, who will shoot a clip for Bulgaria.
