The Bus Industry in Bulgaria to Create a Confederation

In a letter to Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, several transport organizations declared a unification of the bus industry in a confederation.

The reason for this is the draft law on the establishment of the Branch Automobile Chamber and the subsequent disputes. Against this bill are the bus carriers, arguing that it will allow some of the transport companies to determine who can have a license.

The Confederation unites National Association of Bus Carriers in Bulgaria, Branch Union for Economic Initiative in Transport, the National Union of Carriers, the Corporation of road transport operators in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Federation for Passenger Transport and the National Union of Carriers Varna.

In the letter to the Prime minister, they say that by creating the confederation, they would retain their profile and would meet the state administration's expectations of identifying a single branch of communication. This would achieve the goal and unite their efforts for the sustainable development of bus transport in Bulgaria.

In addition, they comment that the creation of such a Confederation would help a large number of transport companies to choose the one they want to join in.

The letter also mentions the establishment of the Confederation, which is expected to happen before September 15, 2018.
