People with a Ban to Enter Schengen Will Not Enter Bulgaria as Well

Bulgaria will not allow third-country nationals banned from entering or residing in the Schengen States, to enter into its territory. In addition, third-country nationals who are in the country without a residence permit and who are found to have a refusal of entering will be extradited from Bulgaria.

The restrictions will also apply to Romania, following a decision by the EU Council. The measure is part of the remaining provisions of the Schengen legislation that the two countries must implement.

The Ministry of Interior announced that the measure shall enter into force on 1 August 2018.
