Bulgarian Scientist Developed App That Can Detect Fake News

A Bulgarian scientist in the field of information technology has created 5 applications to identify fake news.

In his opinion, people need to be able to pick up the fake out of the real news. Dr. Preslav Nakov believes that by 2025 90% of the news articles will be created by a computer. The specialist in computer linguistics has created programs that analyze the authenticity of internet publications and fake news on social networks.

False news is used for propaganda and disinformation of the public. The political weapon is obviously effective, and once it is used, it can hardly be stopped.

Meanwhile, the political party VMRO-Bulgarian National Movement is working on an anti-fake news law as Bulgaria was ranked as having one of the lowest fake news resistance indexes by the OSI.
