Second Belgian Teen Rescued on Rila Mountain, Bulgaria in a Week

New rescue operation in the Rila mountains - a 17-year-old Belgian tourist got a hypertensive crisis. A group of youngsters passed the route between the Rila Monastery and the 7 Rila Lakes when one of the boys began to feel ill. Part of the group continued the trip, while two girls remained with the boy and called for help.

A team of Mountain Group-Blagoevgrad saved the boy and he was immediately taken to a hospital where it was found that there is no danger to his life.

The displacement in the region is very high and most tourists are not prepared for such a hike. The youngsters, obviously, did not have enough physical training, they wanted to walk faster, and this led to tiredness. Besides, the boy had a limited amount of food with himself.

The service advises tourists to first get acquainted with the Bulgarian mountains and the variable conditions there, and then to take trips in order to avoid injuries and health problems.
