Bulgaria's EU Presidency Minister: Mission Accomplished

The minister of Bulgaria’s EU presidency, Lilyana Pavlova, is pleased with its results, saying “The mission was accomplished successfully.”

Pavlova said: “Bulgaria improved its image and is a dignified and respected partner in Europe. Us Bulgarians have a lot to be proud of.” She also said that Bulgarians need higher self-esteem because they have a lot to be proud of.

The minister stated that the topic of the Western Balkans was re-integrated on the European agenda and will continue to be in the next EU presidency, which is chaired by Austria.

The Austrian presidency starts this Saturday.

Pavlova revealed that her duties as a minister of Bulgaria’s EU presidency will continue until the end of the year. She said: “I don’t have a self-contained goal to be a minister, nor a self-contained goal to be a European MP. For me, it's important to see realization where I can realize my own expertise.”
