Bulgarians Part of the Soundtrack of "Solo: A Star Wars Story"

Bulgarian musicians became part of the soundtrack of Solo: A Star Wars Story.

It turned out that the favourite of several generations of Bulgarian space saga "Star Wars" has something to take from us too. "The composer John Powell contacted us asking if we could help him find some singers to perform this music and we immediately responded, especially as we are big fans of the series," said Georgi Stresov, a composer and conductor of “Four For Music”.

The task is entrusted to two choirs. The male one was conducted by Georgi Stresov and the female - by Vanya Moneva. "The composer himself, standing in front of the choirs, said that when he first heard Bulgarian folk voices, he was very impressed and now is very excited to stand in front of these voices," said Vanya Moneva, conductor of the choir “Vanya Moneva".

"I admit that we are working this way for the first time. We did not have time to prepare, they gave us the notes on the spot. We had 15-20 minutes to prepare and started recording," said Anna Yordanova, a singer in the “Vanya Moneva” choir.

Only after the premiere, they understood that the soundtrack is part of one of the most discussed cinematographic productions. And Georgi Stresov, who for years has been involved in producing film music, believes that this is a good sign.
