Kavarna Should Stop Construction Next to Beach, Tourism Minister Warns

The Bulgarian minister of tourism, Nikolina Angelkova called for the cease of construction operations during the summer season in Kavarna.

Angelkova said: “I suggest to the municipality of Kavarna to take urgent measures and to stop the construction activities next to the beach in the town.” The minister also stated that there’s a ban on construction after May 15 and it was “right to plan the construction of the hotel and the road next to the beach in order not to break the ban and to ensure the comfort of the tourists. The area that used to provide access to the beach is now obstructed due to the construction activities and causes discomfort to the tourists.”

Angelkova also added that despite the fact there is access to the beach, the obstruction still harms the experience of tourists and should be stopped. She also claimed that the pool on Kavarna’s beach is up to regulations, as it is made of plastic and not a concrete construction. However, Angelkova demanded that this pool should be free for public use, rather than just for the hotel’s visitors.
