The BSP Questions the Government's Decision to Bring Back the Russian Ambassador

The parliamentary group of the Bulgarian Socialist Party has issued a procedural proposal for the Prime Minister to enter the National Assembly and address the diplomatic crisis between the EU and Russia. This was announced by the secretary of the group - Kristian Vigenin - from the podium of the Parliament.

Vigenin explained that the crisis between the West and Russia is getting deeper and that no one is aware of the possible repercussions that might follow on a global scale and how they might affect Bulgaria. One of the questions that really intrigues the Left is why the Prime Minister has decided to ask the Ambassador of Russia to come back for a meeting with him. Vigenin assured his colleagues that this is not a political stunt or an attempt at propaganda.

The Bulgarian Socialists want the Prime Minister to address the MPs and inform them on what Bulgaria knows about the situation. As President Radev said yesterday - the decisions of the Prime Minister weren't coordinated with him. The BSP is asking for transparency and the ability to coordinate its policies according to those of the government.
