The Bulgarian Ministry of Healthcare Orders New Ambulances

The Ministry of Healthcare announces a public procurement for 400 new ambulances. This information comes from the website of the Public Procurement Agency (PPA).

The Minister himself said at the beginning of the month that the first wave of new ambulances is to be expected by the end of this year. The order is estimated at 48.7 million BGN (€24.3 million) and is being funded by the "Regions in growth" (2014-2020) program. The procurement itself is split in four - depending on the different sorts of ambulances needed.

The first 185 ambulances have to be equipped for transportation, initial treatment and monitoring of the patients. Another 42 of the vehicles are required to be able to perform off-road transportation and 78 have to have a 4x4 drive. The remaining 95 ambulances should be equipped for intensive treatment. The deadline for sending offers is April 24th.
