More than 50,000 High-School Students will go to National Exams in Bulgaria

This year, 55,167 last-year high-school students will take their national exams. The two exams will take place on May 21 and May 23, 2018.

The Bulgarian Ministry of Education has shared the data on all last-year high-school students who will be taking national exams this year. 55,167 students will be taking the mandatory national exam on Bulgarian Language and Literature. 44,850 students will be taking a second mandatory national exam on a subject of their choice. The remaining 10,421 students prefer adding their Professional Qualification exam to their diploma, instead of the second national exam.

The most preferred second national exam subject is English Language, which is the choice of 13,820 Bulgarian students. Second in Geography and Economy, which 6,904 students will be taking. 1,305 students have declared Mathematics as their choice. Italian Language is the least requested exam, where only 86 students have decided to apply for this exam. Only 782 students have requested a third subject exam. These exams will take place on May 29 and June 1, 2018.
