Dog Shelter in Varna, Bulgaria has been set on fire

The Animal Hope - Varna environmentalist organization has shared shocking images on their social media accounts. According to their testimony, their dog shelter has been set on fire. The fire was started from the outside by a man, against whom they had alerted the police on multiple occasions. Animal Hope share that this person had been exercising physical and psychological violence against them for months. The reasons behind his motives are still unknown.

Many of the four-legged animals have fallen victim to the flames. Two of the shelter’s dogs, named Mecho and Beki, burned alive in their dog houses. Jack and Jameson, another two of their dogs, have been transported to a veterinary clinic with severe burns.

According to shared information, the dogs have experienced severe burns, at the moment they are under heavy sedation and even if they make it, one of them will remain blind. The shelter will remain closed for an unknown period of time. At the moment, its managers are trying to find temporary homes for 10 of their dogs and a group of cubs.
