The United Patriots' Stance on the Istanbul Convention Is Winning Them Support

A recent study conducted by "Eurobarometer" between February 5th and February 14th showed that the current government in Bulgaria has a 43% approval rate. The people seem more and more supportive of the United Patriots' representatives in the cabinet, mainly because of their stance on the Istanbul convention.

Other big reasons for the trust in the government are income and the EC Presidency. The EC-Presidency seems to indicate that Bulgaria really does belong to the EU and that work is being done. Also - the average salary in December 2017 was 1123 BGN which marks an 11% increase, when compared to the same timeframe in 2016.

Overall, the cabinet seems to be stable - the Prime Minister has a 36% approval rate, while other members of the government have roughly over 20% - which is still good. The patriotic union is indeed a strong factor in this equation. Why? A previous survey by "Barometer Bulgaria" showed that over 63% of voters are against the Istanbul Convention - it is wise to conclude that they feel at least somewhat well represented in the current cabinet.
