Voss Automotive to Invest €15 million in Bulgaria

The Germany company VOSS Automotive will invest €15 million in a production operation near the Bulgarian village of Bahovitsa. This will reportedly open about 1000 new job positions in the future.

The figures were revealed when the Bulgarian Minister of Economy, Emil Karanikolov, presented the company. Karanikolov gave the director of the Bulgarian branch of VOSS, Roland Weiss, a certificate for administrative assistance in the plant.

The company signed a contract for renting 12,225 m2 of the industrial zone which was previously utilized by a defunct Chinese automobile assembly. The factory will focus on producing car parts. VOSS is known mainly for making components for Volkswagen and its many subsidiaries. The operation will start work in the next 6 months. VOSS are the first investors in this industrial endeavor launched by Grisha Ganchev, one of Bulgaria's most prominent businessmen.
