Boyko Borisov Talks in Odessa with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov will talk in Odessa with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. That was reported by BGNES.

They will discuss the cooperation in education and infrastructure development of contacts between the two countries and in particular the contacts Sofia - Kiev. Moreover, they will talk on foreign policy issues of mutual interest and will make an inspection of the repaired section of the international road E-87 Odessa - Reni.

Borisov and Poroshenko will participate in the 160th anniversary of the foundation of the Bulgarian high school in Bolgrad. The Bulgarian government has granted BGN 150,000 to renovate the school building in which is taught in Bulgarian. A graduate of the school that opened during the Revival, is also the president of Ukraine. 

Unofficially, Bolgrad is considered the capital of the Bessarabian Bulgarians because more than half of the population there is of Bulgarian origin.

The Prime Minister commented on his visit to Ukraine in a post on Facebook. He wrote: "Odessa held a meeting with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. Ukrainian citizens of Bulgarian origin are the some of the kindest, most intelligent, and loyal. They may actually be more powerful, a powerful bridge of understanding between our countries. I hope that more Ukrainians of Bulgarian origin will study Bulgarian and visit Bulgaria."
