Bulgarian Commercial Register Faces a New Collapse

After 20 days, the Commercial Register may stop working again, this time the reason is the lack of free memory on the servers of the Registry Agency. This became clear from a decision of the agency to announce a BGN 190,000 public procurement contract for "upgrading existing storage media" with 120 terabytes, Mediapool reported.

The Information Center and the Reserve Information Center have now respectively 30 and 20 terabytes of free memory. It is clear from the order that it is not enough, because it decreases each day by 1.5 terabytes. The management of the agency in the order itself announced that it is necessary to be emphasized that the urgent need for extra disk space is not the result of actions and inactions of the Registry Agency.

However, the agency's management should have known about the need to buy discs at the end of August when the system started working again after blocking completely for more than 14 days. Even then, it was clear what resource was blocked for the inspections of the prosecutor's office, and that the free space would end in late October.
