Food Inspector Caught With 80 kg of Marijuana Remains in Custody

The veterinarian and health inspector who was caught with 80 kg of marijuana in his home remains in police custody.

The Agency for Food Safety released information that the man was stopped by traffic police. They found that he was driving under the influence of drugs. The officers searched the inspector's house and found a large quantity of marijuana, which he claims was for personal use. It was subsequently found that the man was running an entire cannabis plantation in the remote area near a Shumen village.

The plants were a special sort from the Netherlands, reaching 4 meters in height. The inspector admitted that they were his on the spot and took the officers to the exact spots. He claims that he learned how to grow them via the Internet. After the arrest, the inspector filed his resignation papers to the Agency for Food Safety.
