Bulgarian Vet Inspector Caught With 4-Meter Marijuana Plants

Bulgarian police officers located a marijuana plantation operated by a 32-year-old veterinarian and inspector at the Agency for Food Safety. The case occurred in the town of Shumen.

The officers found 80 kg of marijuana plants and drying leaves in the private residence of the inspector. They found an additional 80 kg in already dried marijuana. The food safety inspector owns the property and he personally led the police officers to the plantation. He claims that the plants are for his own personal use and that he grows the cannabis plants a forested area near Yankovo village. The site had 51 plants, which reportedly impressed the police with their size of more than 4 meters.

Earlier this year, the police located 2600 kg of weed plants in South-Western Bulgaria.
