MFA Warns Bulgarians in Florida Because of the Hurricane "Michael"

Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs came with a warning to the Bulgarians in Florida because of hurricane "Michael". A fourth-degree hurricane approaches the northeastern parts of Florida. The storm is expected to reach the Florida coast before noon on Wednesday, October 10, with strong winds over 150 km/h in places, and heavy rains for the next two or three days.

According to the information provided by the Bulgarian Embassy in Washington, in Alabama and in 35 states of Florida, a state of emergency has been declared. Authorities are urging citizens to buy food and water, emergency medication, mobile phone chargers, and to find out where the nearest shelter is.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends to all Bulgarian citizens living in the areas, where the hurricane is expected, to be informed about the situation and follow the guidelines strictly.
