The US, Bulgaria, and Greece Shared their Positions About the Referendum in FYROM

The United States, Bulgaria, and Greece spread positions on the outcome of the historic referendum in Macedonia, Actualno reported.

"We strongly support the full implementation of the Prespa agreement, which allows Macedonia to join NATO and the EU to contribute to regional stability, security, and progress," is said in the US Embassy statement. "We believe that democracy is rooted in the society of the Republic of Macedonia," the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry stated.

“Greece remains committed to the Treaty of Prespa”, Greek Foreign Ministry announced. According to the diplomats, the results of the referendum are contradictory. The Greek authorities added that the climate of nationalism and suspicion, and the daily fake news did not allow a sober judgment to be made about the great benefits of the treaty, and added that in the next steps, a sobriety is required so all countries will ensure the dynamics of the Prespa Treaty.
