142 Schools Close Down Due to The Flu Epidemic

142 schools in Bulgaria closed down due to a flu epidemic. 116 schools in Pazardzhik ceased schooling last week and started up again today.

OFFnews gave the specifics: 17 schools in the Blagoevgrad province, 3 schools in the Vratsa Province, and various other educational centers will close their doors due to the flu epidemic. Bulgarian schools tend to be epicenters of flu and often close down due to large quantities of children skipping class due to ilness.

Bulgaria is experiencing its coldest period of the year. Experts predicted the January flu outbreaks, and yet a very small percentage of Bulgarians bother to vaccinate.
