The Bulgarian Socialists file in their No-Confidence vote into Parliament

Today the Bulgarian Socialist Party- the biggest parliamentary group in the opposition, is filing in its no-confidence vote against the sitting government. The explanatory document attached to the vote is nine pages long. According to socialist MPs, the main reason for the no-confidence vote is the government's contribution to corruption in the country.

Tasko Ermenkov, one of the party's current MPs admitted that there has been corruption under governments lead by the BSP as well but was quick to add that the party won't try to cover up for any of its corrupt members. He commented that as long as the Bulgarian people are being robbed (note: through corruption), they will always remain poor. The MP added that the sense of corruption is not explicit to politics and civic reports, and problems in business prove that point.

On the other side of the aisle, naturally, is GERB - the majority party in the Parliament and in the Government. One of GERB's MPs mocked the no-confidence vote, claiming it is nine pages of gibberish and no actual facts. For instance, the BSP claims the existence of a secret report by the Bulgarian National Security Agency on corruption in the customs and at the border checkpoints - but nobody has seen it. Sure, it is secret - but how does the BSP know about it? Apart from that, the "United Patriots" have declared their absolute support for the government, reminding everyone that the corruption index reached its peak under a government of the BSP.
