Crimea Will Twin Cities With Austria and Bulgaria

The Crimean cities of Feodosia and Evpatoria plan on making twinning agreements with Bulgarian and Austrian cities. This news comes from a statement of the Crimean ambassador Georgii Muradov, directed towards the president of the Russian Federation.

Muradov states that Crimea has a big interest in the experience of foreign cities on the problems of housing, energetics and the establishment of road networks. It is also expected that twinning the cities will lead to strengthening of cultural and humanitarian contacts between the countries as well as bring foreign investment into the country.

The agreements will be signed in November, during the “Crimea in International Context” conference, which will take place in Yalata. If proven successful, Crimea may sign similar treaties with cities in France and Italy.
