Are we going to witness the implementation of electronic voting in Bulgaria?

On August 11th the State e-Government Agency and the Central Election Commission announced they are looking for somebody to execute a pilot project on a system for electronic voting.

The budget of the procurement is a little over 33 000 BGN (16 800 Euro) and the winner would have to research and analyse famous and effective methods of distance electronic voting. A simulation of the process should also be provided.

The analysis of the pilot project should give specific directions as to how the system would work. The deadline for this happening is the end of 2017 and the system itself should be live by 2019 for the next elections for Members of the European Parliament.
A winner will be announced to the public on August 18th
