Bulgarian Party Issues Christmas Cards with a Robber pig as Mascot

The Bulgarian political space is riddled with oddities and peculiar decisions. This year, they have not decided to miss the holidays, as one of the country’s political parties has released a rather atypical Christmas card.

The “Yes Bulgaria” (Da Bulgaria) political party has decided to release non-canonical Christmas cards in order to raise both money for the party and awareness on the country’s current political situation. The card reveals a snowy landscape, a Christmas tree and before it a pig dressed as a scoundrel, carrying a bag of European money. The text written on the card reads: “”May the new year bring you…” and on the bottom “And do not let anyone take it away from you”.

A press release by the “Yes Bulgaria” party gives further explanation on the matter, as the card leaves a lot to personal interpretation. According to the release, the good things in life do not come on their own, it is the people who have to work for them. If citizens want to live in a proper country that is not ruled by corruption, where the institutions and law work in favour of the citizens, then the people should oppose the “scoundrel pigs”. It is not something that can happen immediately, but will require dedication from everyone in the country.

Anyone interested in purchasing the special Christmas card may do it at the price of 1 BGN (€0.50) where all profit goes to funding the “Yes Bulgaria” party in accordance with the Law for Political Parties.
