The Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister Valeri Simeonov says that the fight against illegal distilleries will go on, until the grey economy in this sector has been put to a minimum.

Valeri Simeonov, Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister says that the fight against illegal distilleries will go on, until the grey economy in the sector has been lowered to a minimum. In his words, the illegal distilleries do not pay taxes and are not accountable to the government, but they complain about the conditions in their sector. Simeonov added that no fight is beneath him and he would personally go through every part of the country in search of illegal alcohol manufacturing equipment if he has to.

Simeonov was also questioned about MP Elena Yoncheva’s movie about the illegal migration through Bulgarian borders. He said that it is an exaggeration to call a collection of poorly montaged videos a movie and also added that it is quite suspicious that her group accidentally stumbled upon some illegal immigrants entering the country, also Yoncheva’s driver has failed a polygraph test concerning illegal trafficking of immigrants, but she still took him with her on the project.
